Installation and Interface
The ViaTalk system will be shipped via USPS. That means that customers choosing to change to the ViaTalk service can make that change relatively quickly without having to wait for a dedicated installation expert. When the package arrives the customer will have to do an easy self-installation.
There will be an adapter in between the phone and the phone jack in order for the VoIP to work. It is also important to have a router or high-speed modem. Full instructions come with the ViaTalk package and there is an installation help section available via the ViaTalk website. When the phone package is installed it will run as if it were a regular land line phone.

In addition to those ViaTalk has implemented many more advanced features as well. It is possible to use a softphone, Internet Forwarding, and receive alarm and wake up calls with the ViaTalk system.

These features are very important for customers with a fast paced life who can’t wait for snail mail or lengthy phone call conversations to the support center.
Performance
ViaTalk has gotten low marks for performance in the past but they currently have systems in place to turn that completely around. ViaTalk is reworking their customer support and call functionality in order to provide better service all around. There are also sections on the ViaTalk website to help with installation and a FAQ section to answer questions that many customers have. If there is a problem that is not addressed in any of the online help sections the customer may submit a support ticket and a customer service representative will address it.
If none of those solutions offer enough help for the customer there is also a phone number that he/she can call during normal operating hours.
