One of the most popular is anonymous call rejection which allows customers to block calls from unidentified numbers. Customer originated trace allows a Mediacom customer to trace harassing or otherwise unwanted phone calls that he or she is receiving. In addition to these unique features, customers also receive call waiting, call forwarding and return call.

Performance

Performance is where Mediacom’s service really stands out. Many VoIP providers route calls over the public Internet. This means that call quality is questionable and phone calls can more easily be tapped by a third party. However, Mediacom ensures a higher level of security and quality by routing calls through a private network. This network consists of Mediacom’s own broadband network, Sprint’s state of the art digital network and the Public Switched Telephone Network. The Mediacom 911 service is actually an enhanced service, or E911, that delivers your name, the phone number and the address of your location automatically with the call.
