Installation and Interface

Once you sign up and pay for PBXtra, it will ship between 3 to 15 business days. PBXtra fits seamlessly into any business PBX network. You simply plug PBXtra into your office router, and then plug your IP phones into your network anywhere. For one flat fee, you get a one-server license of PBXtra Standard Edition and a brand new server with PBXtra pre-installed and configured. The software comes with a license for unlimited extensions and comes standard with many features.

PBXtra comes with features such as: Auto-Attendant, Music-on-Hold, Schedulers, Enhanced Voicemail, Voicemail as Email Attachments, Support for analog phones (including full cordless phones), Message Waiting Indicator, MS Outlook integration, One Touch Voice-Mail Retrieval, Stutter-tone, Dial-by-name-Directory, Unlimited Nested Menus, Telecommuter Access, Call Transfer, and Web Control Panels for both administrators and users and much more.

Performance

You only need an Internet connection to make changes to your PBXtra, because that portion of the software is hosted in Fonality’s server farm. This means that your PBXtra will operate normally (route calls, voicemail, etc.) when your Internet is down. But, of course, if your Internet is down, you will not be able to use VoIP, and your telecommuter extensions will not function. Fonality recommends that all customers keep at least one PSTN line so that their main office stays operational during Internet outages.

Service and Support

When you purchase PBXtra, you will receive two hours of free installation support. Fonality’s support professionals will help ensure that your PBXtra server is installed correctly (in accordance with the “PBXtra Installation Guide”), that you are able to place calls, and will give you basic training on the web-based admin panel and user panel.

From that point, Fonality’s emergency service hotline for critical support is covered 24 hours a day, seven days per week.
